The Talented Athlete Academy is for Gifted & Talented PE Students in Key Stage 2 & 3 across schools in Crawley.
The first PE Gifted & Talented days took place in 2008 and building on our resources and sponsorship from Freedom Leisure, Crawley SSP has set up the Talented Athlete Academy for 2009 and beyond.
Based on FUN-damentals and Multi skills, cluster sessions will take place at K2 leisure centre for G&T PE students selected by schools (dates can be found on the calendar). In May half term, there will be further Academy days for our elite young performers.
The Talented Athlete Academy aims to:
ü Provide opportunity and support to PE Gifted & Talented students in Crawley
ü Deliver high quality teaching and coaching for students to develop their fundamentals and multi-skills to achieve in a breadth of activities
ü Drive knowledge and understanding of assessment and G&T PE identification in schools
